Understanding Input Data
Marketing Data Overview
Marketing data includes daily aggregations of ad spend and impressions. It helps us model the marketing effect on app performance. Dimensions Marketing data should be aggregated at the most granular level supported by each channel or media partner. The granularity can be different per channel or media partner, and will be the same level at which incremental measurement results will be reported by us for each. Supported dimensions are: Date Channel Campaign Country Source App TheFew readersApp Events Data Overview
Daily aggregated app event data is necessary for indicating app performance so a model can be trained to quantify the contributions of each marketing source and control variable. Data must always be cohorted by install date. Dimensions App event data can be aggregated for an app at the country level only or at a deeper level of granularity by including dimensions and metric breakdowns provided by last touch attribution. Importing Input Data
Data Sharing
Overview Broadly, there are two types of data imports: Historical: 3 to 12 months of historical data, aggregated daily Ongoing: only new data since the last sync, aggregated daily There are also two categories of data. Using Custom Input Data
Custom Export
In cases where sharing via data partner isn’t possible or preferable, data can also be custom exported from your internal systems and shared with us via a secured S3 bucket. File Requirements File Naming Each file uploaded to S3 must include two components in the file name: The category of data (marketing or events) A .csv or .csv.gz (if GZIP compression is used) extension Other than the requirements listed in this section, files can have any name and prefix (foldPopularCustom Marketing Data
Column Headers Marketing data must be custom exported in CSV format like the following example header row. It is important to use the exact column headers shown in the example below. For files that contain data for multiple apps, the following example header row must be used instead where each line specifies the app's store ID in the Store ID column. Some readersCustom App Events Data
Column Headers App events data must be custom exported in CSV format like the following example header row. It is important to use the exact column headers shown in the example below. The cohort day is specified in each metric column header as a “Dn” suffix where n is the cohort day. The example includes D0 and D1, but your file should include all cohort days selected in your pricing plan.PopularAWS CLI S3 Upload
